About us
The people behind the homes
William and Cristina are the husband-and-wife team behind Phayes Building Co., bringing real estate, construction and design together under one roof.
Phayes began in 2020, when William became a Realtor, and it has grown and evolved ever since. Today he leads construction operations. Cristina’s path began in design: while finishing college, she started her own home staging company, and that work grew into rentals, renovations, flips and short-term stays.
Through The Phayes Group, we’ve been part of more than $85 million in real estate sales across the Triangle.* That experience shapes every home we create, from where we build to how each plan is designed to live. Now it all comes full circle in new construction, adding distinctive homes to the market that feel like home the moment you walk in.

Our completed homes are in Durham. The Highgrove, our next home, is on Creedmoor Road. We consider sites across the Triangle.
Why does each home have a name?
We like each home to have its own identity, so we give it a name, as with The Highgrove.
